COREXIT Ingredients

Here's a list of ingredients of Corexit 9500 and 9527:

This particular ingredient here may be the one to keep an eye on:

Ethanol, 2-butoxy-

Here's what the "Hazardous Substance Fact Sheet" says about this ingredient.

Nalco, the company who makes this stuff, claims that Ethanol, 2-butoxy is not in Corexit 9500, but is in Corexit 9527.

It's my understanding that both versions have been used in the Gulf oil spill.
